Samsung Dominates the Memory Card Market with High-Speed MicroSD – Competing with SSD Speeds!

Samsung has just demonstrated its unique strength in the mobile storage market with the introduction of its latest microSD card. Not only does this card stand out with its compact design, but it also boasts impressive performance, even outperforming traditional SSDs. These three new products mark a significant stride for Samsung in providing flexible storage solutions for diverse users and needs.

Breakneck Speeds with SD Express: The star of the trio is Samsung’s SD Express 256GB microSD card. Utilizing the distinctive SD Express protocol, this card achieves sequential read speeds of up to 800MB/s. This not only outpaces traditional microSD cards by 1.4 times but is also significantly faster than standard SSDs.

Performance and Capacity: In addition to the SD Express powerhouse, Samsung introduces the microSD Evo Plus and Pro Plus cards, both boasting storage capacities of up to 1TB. Using 8-layer V-NAND chips of the 8th generation, these cards deliver reliable performance, meeting the substantial storage needs of modern users.

Waterproof, Heatproof, Drop-Resistant: All products are designed to resist drops, extreme temperatures, magnetic fields, water, abrasion, and X-rays, ensuring durability and stability in all usage conditions.

Release Date and Pricing: The Samsung SD Express 256GB microSD card is expected to hit the market later this year, with detailed pricing information yet to be disclosed. Meanwhile, the microSD Evo Plus and Pro Plus 1TB cards are set to be released in the first half of 2024.
