Larq began with a simple vision: combining advanced technology with inspired design to make pure and sustainable drinking water easily accessible.
This week, smart water bottle manufacturer Larq announced that it has been acquired by the water filtration conglomerate Brita GmbH, established in 1966.
Larq began with a simple vision: combining advanced technology with inspired design to make pure and sustainable drinking water easily accessible. Larq’s water filtration products follow a path of minimalistic yet elegant design, with compact sizes convenient for on-the-go usage.
They introduce two exclusive water filtration technologies: PureVis™ and Nano Zero technology, integrated directly into the products to eliminate pollutants, inhibit bacterial growth, and enhance water quality during use.
The experience of using Larq’s water filtration bottle becomes special when you indulge in the Larq – Smart Hydration app. Through this application, you can monitor, control, and manage your LARQ bottle. The app also features the ability to track the amount of water you consume, assisting you in achieving your personal hydration maintenance goal. Your hydration goal is our goal.
Larq, headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area and founded in late 2017, is renowned for its line of smart water bottles, utilizing UV light integrated into the cap to reduce bacterial accumulation inside damp and dark objects. Subsequently, the company expanded into water pitchers, combining UV light with a standard water filtration system.
Larq’s retail presence is currently modest, available in approximately 1,000 brick-and-mortar stores. Although Larq does not have a significant footprint in the U.S. presently, Brita GmbH, with its extensive international market reach and robust retail knowledge, is an ideal partner to facilitate strong growth for Larq.
