CAR-T: Breakthrough Therapy in Cancer Treatment

CAR-T, short for “Chimeric Antigen Receptor-T,” is a modern cancer treatment method with the potential to cure many patients. The unique feature of CAR-T lies in its ability to utilize T immune cells to identify and eliminate cancer cells.

Causes and Mechanism of Cancer

Careful consideration of the benefits and risks of CAR-T is necessary before deciding to use this method. Although the incidence of secondary cancers from CAR-T is very low, its benefits, including the potential for cancer cure and high responsiveness to certain types of cancers, remain prominent.

Nevertheless, these challenges and risks need to be thoroughly examined to ensure the safety and effectiveness for patients.
